Biomechanical characteristics and reinsertion guidelines for retrieved orthodontic miniscrews.
Conclusion: Miniscrews retrieved after primary insertion exhibited decreased cutting ability due to deformation of the tip structure, as well as surface contamination. PMID: 24575952 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

CONCLUSION SSO had a positive impact on staff efficiency and was the preferred method versus the 2-factor log-in.
ConclusionsA small subset of PSPD patients may experience response after an initial progression. Assessment of the current strategy for immune ‐related response evaluations may require further attention.
Conclusion: In clinical practice, the possibility of unilateral chorea should be considered for diabetic patients with poor blood glucose control.

The samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), high resolution transmission electron microscope (HRTEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), Raman, electron spin-resonance (ESR) and surface photovoltage spectroscopy (SPS). The results reveal that SCFs c...

In this study, mechanical, histochemical and molecular assays were conducted to understand the mechanisms underlying the effects of Ca in fruit physical properties. In a two-year field trial, grapevines were sprayed with exogenous CaCl2 throughout the fruiting season. Results showed an increase in berry Ca concentration at harvest, associated to increased fruit consistency and skin resistance. Scanning electron microscopy showed that fruits from Ca-treated plants had smoother skin surfaces than control fruits, and that microcracks encircling the lenticels were less prominent. Histochemistry assays suggested higher depositi...

Powders of shells species (Dosinia exoleta and Ostrea edulis), with particle size fractions of 0.045 – 0.125 mm, 0.125 – 0.2 mm, and 0.2 – 1 mm, were subjected to degradation at the various heating rates (5, 10, 15 and 20&th...
ConclusionThis initial study found that DCE-MRI CoV was independently associated with malignancy in patients with suspected lung cancer. CoV has the potential to help diagnose indeterminate pulmonary lesions and may complement TIC-derived DCE-MRI metrics. Further studies are warranted to validate the diagnostic value of DCE-MRI intensity histogram analysis.
ConclusionOur study demonstrates that an AI solution can help radiologists to diagnose ICH and thus decrease the error rate. AI solution can serve as a prospective peer review tool for non-contrast head CT scans to identify ICH and thus minimize false negatives.
