Textbook of Stroke Medicine

A successful medical textbook is one that contains well-researched and current material that is clearly written, supported by helpful diagrams and tables, and also concise and manageable. It should be comprehended within a finite period of time that, for the physician, is filled with activity in an academic or medical environment. I am writing this review from the viewpoint of a stroke neurologist who is involved in teaching medical students, residents, midlevel health care professionals, and patients and their families. I find Textbook of Stroke Medicine by Brainin and Heiss to be an exceptional book that meets and sometimes exceeds these criteria, and I very highly recommend its use to people in search of a textbook of stroke medicine to study.
