Comparison of two contraceptive pills containing drospirenone and 20μg or 30μg ethinyl estradiol for polycystic ovary syndrome
Conclusion Among patients with PCOS, an oral contraceptive pill containing 20μg EE has similar effects on androgen levels to those of a pill containing 30μg. Clinical Trial Registration Number: CTRI/2012/04/002571

ConclusionsThe increased risk of GDM in women with srPCOS was mostly attributed to overweight or obesity. Importantly, normal weight women with srPCOS did not seem to be at increased risk for developing GDM. However, hyperandrogenemia was associated with GDM even after adjustment for BMI. These findings strengthen the importance of weight management in reproductive ‐age women and suggest a noteworthy role of hyperandrogenemia in the pathophysiology of GDM.
ConclusionsBlood pressure and prevalence of pregnancy ‐induced hypertension were comparable in pregnant women with polycystic ovary syndrome and the reference group.
Authors: Loh HH, Yee A, Loh HS, Kanagasundram S, Francis B, Lim LL Abstract PURPOSE: Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) is a common disorder characterized by clinical or biochemical hyperandrogenism and ovulary dysfunction. Apart from the total prevalence of FSD, subgroup analyses based on different PCOS diagnostic criteria and obesity status (body mass index [BMI]&t...
To investigate the placental morphology alterations and identify the clinical characteristics of women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and their newborns. Pregnant women with PCOS (n = 12) and pregnant women without PCOS (n = 11) were recruited. Then, the placenta, maternal blood and cord blood were collected after delivery.
To quantitate left ventricular mass index (LVMI) and correlate it with inflammation, insulin resistance (IR) and serum androgen levels among nonobese normotensive women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).
To identify different microbial species in women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and reveal a possible relationship between gut dysbiosis and pathological changes.

Conclusions: There was insufficient evidence to support that acupuncture could promote live birth, pregnancy, and ovulation. However, acupuncture could promote the recovery of menstrual cycles as well as downregulate the levels of LH and testosterone in patients with PCOS. Study registration: PROSPERO CRD42019128574.
In conclusion, ovarian innervation likely played an important role in folliculogenesis, and EA might restore PCOS pathophysiology by regulating ovarian innervation, at least partially mediated through the SON.
