Evaluating the implementation of RxNorm in ambulatory electronic prescriptions

This study illustrates the need for technology vendors to improve their implementation of RxNorm; doing so will accelerate the adoption of RxNorm as the preferred alternative to using the NDC terminology in e-prescribing.
