PhRMA Launches New Spanish-Language Health Care Resources

Bilingual resources on health care and insurance added to AccessBetterCoverage.orgWASHINGTON (September 1, 2015) — Today, the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) launched Access BetterCoverage.org/espanol, a hub of Spanish-language resources on health care, health insurance and tips for shopping for health coverage. The new site introduces important resources to help people better understand how health insurance works and what to expect from their coverage. The site includes a series of Spanish-language white board videos explaining basic insurance terms like deductibles, copays and coinsurance, and how formularies work as well as a glossary of health insurance terms and lists of questions to ask when picking a plan. There are more than 50 million Hispanics living in the United States and in 2013 accounted for nearly one-third of the non-elderly uninsured population.
