This study was aimed to investigate the anti-oxidative and the ameliorative effects of Antrodia cinnamomea ethanol extract (ACEE) on reproduction dysfunction in male diabetic rats. The diabetic condition was induced by administrating the combination of streptozotocin (STZ) (65 mg/kg) and nicotinamide (NA) (230 mg/kg). Three different doses of ACEE were tested (385, 770, 1540 mg/kg) for 5 weeks. The results indicated that the ACEE improved STZ-NA induced hyperglycemia, oxidative stress, and insulin resistance. In addition to this, ACEE reduced the degree of lipid peroxidation, recovered the abnormal str...

This is a case series reporting live births following in vitro fertilization (IVF) after fertility-sparing surgery in patients with borderline ovarian tumors (BOTs). Seventeen patients, in whom fertility-sparing surgery for BOTs followed by IVF was performed from July 1, 2011 to September 30, 2017, in our IVF center, were included. Here we retrospectively present their BOT characteristics and clinical outcomes of assisted reproduction technology (ART) and then discuss the literature on management of patients with BOTs after fertility-sparing surgery. The study sample of 17 patients started IVF-assisted reproduction within ...

AbstractCystic echinococcosis (CE), a serious public health problem worldwide, is caused by the larval stage ofEchinococcus granulosus (E. granulosus). Despite recent progress in the CE medical treatment, this subject still remains as a priority of research. Albendazole (ABZ) is a drug of choice for the treatment of hydatidosis. Its use as an antiparasitic agent with the most efficacy is limited by the lack of water solubility. Therefore, the aim of the present study was to compare in vitro efficacy of free and solid lipid nanoparticles (SLNs) of ABZ and albendazole sulfoxide (ABZSO) against fertile and infertile hydatid c...

ConclusionThe cLB rate of one complete freeze-all-IVF cycle of a general infertile population, with 18-month follow-up, was 55.0%. In freeze-all-IVF, ovarian reserve variables were not selected by regression models to predict LB, significantly.
