Dermoscopy aids the diagnosis of crusted scabies in an erythrodermic patient

A 72-year-old woman with a 1-year history of progressive erythematosquamous lesions and peripheral blood eosinophilia was given a diagnosis of primary hypereosinophilic syndrome. She was treated with prednisone (60 mg/d). Her condition evolved into erythroderma. Physical examination revealed erythroderma and white-grayish crusts on head, trunk, and extremities (Fig 1).
