A rare case of Klippel-Feil syndrome associated with atlantoaxial rotatory subluxation, atlantooccipital fusion and spina bifida

A 4-year-old boy was referred to our clinic for wryneck for 2 weeks. Physical examination revealed a short neck and limited neck movement, especially bilateral rotation. Neurological examination was normal. No traumatic history before wryneck could be recalled. Computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) were performed. CT showed multiple congenital fusions of the C2~3 and C4~6 vertebral bodies and accessory parts(Figure 1, 3). Atlantooccipital fusion was also found by CT(Figure 1).
