What Is Karma? An All Together Podcast With Sharon Salzberg

We've all been there. Someone we don’t like gets dinged at work, splashed at the curb or dumped by their love interest and we look at one another and say knowingly – must be karma.  But what is karma? And are we understanding karma all wrong?  My guest on this segment of All Together is Sharon Salzberg, who helped me to understand that karma is more complicated yet way more interesting than we think. Sharon Salzburg has been teaching Buddhist meditation for decades and is the co-founder of the Insight Meditation Society (IMS). She is the author of many books, including Real Happiness at Work. She is currently working on a book on love. One of the most important lessons I learned in this conversation is that karma is not about the other person but about ourselves. This reminds me of Jesus, who said, "Why do you look at the speck that is in your neighbor’s eye but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?" A good lesson for all us to remember.  You can download All Together on iTunes, or Stitcher. All Together is produced by Katelyn Boguki, Edited by Jorge Corona.
