CNN's Sanjay Gupta Meets with NIAAA Director, Visits Laboratory and "Virtual Bar" for Clinical Research

On March 25, 2015, CNN Chief Medical Correspondent and neurosurgeon Dr. Sanjay Gupta (middle) met with NIAAA Director Dr. George Koob (right) in the laboratory of Dr. Lorenzo Leggio (left).
Dr. Leggio is chief of the Section on Clinical Psychoneuroendocrinology and Neuropsychopharmacology, which is run jointly by the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA) and the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA).  Dr. Leggio has established a "virtual bar" that allows researchers to explore alcohol triggers and to test potential new medications.
