Smithsonian reports fiery-red coral species discovered in the Peruvian Pacific

(Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute) A new coral species, Psammogorgia hookeri, has been collected by scuba divers from rocky ledges at depths to 25 meters in Peru's Paracas National Reserve.
