108. Providing Context to Latino Youth Mental Health: Biocontextual Risk and Psychosocial Pathways of Adaptation Across the Transition to College

The transition to college presents opportunity and challenges for many Latino adolescents, who often navigate systemic, cultural, and individual level assets and demands (Gallo et al., 2009). Importantly, youth who enter college with exposure to multiple forms of victimization (i.e., polyvictimization) early in life as well as with biological vulnerabilities (i.e., hypocortisolism) may be at risk for poor mental health outcomes as they transition to adulthood (Finkelhor et al., 2011; Doane et al., 2018).
