The project will revise and develop taxonomic information about the vascular plants of the Pacific Northwest, and will result in a new, single volume illustrated "Flora of the Pacific Northwest" for the region. This project is regional in focus in that its goal is to produce a flora for a region that includes the northern half of Oregon, all of Washington, Idaho north of the Snake River Plains, and Montana west of the Continental Divide. The region also includes the southernmost portion of British Columbia. The project is specific to the resource of vascular plants, including ferns, gymnosperms (conifers), and angiosperms (flowering plants).
