In conclusion, Prangoil, and its components, β-ocimene and carvacrol, reduced spontaneous and KCl or oxytocin-induced contractions of rat myometrium, mainly modulating extracellular Ca2+ influx through L-Type channels and Ca2+ release from the intracellular store.
