Profil des patients post-AVC volontaires à un programme d’éducation thérapeutique à l’activité physique : étude descriptive

Conclusion Les principales caractéristiques des patients volontaires à un programme ETPAP étaient la persistance de la fatigue, la dépression, peu de séquelles neuro-motrices physiques et un fort soutien de l’entourage. L’ETPAP devrait permettre de maintenir et améliorer les acquis fonctionnels et diminuer la fatigue et la dépression. Objective The objective of the study was to describe the patient's profile with sub-acute stroke, especially on the functional and psychological aspect, volunteer at a therapeutic patient education for physical activity (TPEPA) program. Method The program was offered to people who have a stroke within six months assessments included a Barthel Index (BI), a score of Functional Ambulation Classification (FAC), a 6-minute walking test (6MWT) and self-report questionnaires of anxiety and depression (Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale), support of entourage (Health Care Climate Questionnaire) and fatigue (Multidimensionnal Fatigue Inventory 20). Results Thirty-six patients (59.1±13 years) stroke patients participated in this study. The results showed good neuromotor abilities (Barthel Index: 94.8±8.4/100, New Classification of Functional Ambulation: 7.0±1.0/8, 6minute walking test: 371.0±140.7m). Regarding self-questionnaires, it was not found anxiety (HADS: 5.7±3.6/21) but a slight depression (HADS: 8.6±3.4/21), and a general fatigue (MFI 20: 12.2±2.9/20) Finally, the support of the entourage was strong (HCCQ: 5.7±1.4/7)....
