Expanding the repertoire of counterselection markers for markerless gene deletion in the human gut bacterium Phocaeicola vulgatus

CONCLUSION: The genetic toolbox for P. vulgatus was expanded by a markerless gene deletion system based on SacB as an efficient counterselection marker.
