Not Breathing Easier With FDA’s Ban on Chloroflurocarbons in Inhalers

I recently experienced firsthand the impact of the US Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) ban on chlorofluorocarbons as described by Jena et al. My daughter was home for vacation from college and needed to fill a prescription for an albuterol inhaler (Ventolin). I went to the pharmacy to pick it up, and when the pharmacist handed me the prescription, he said it would be $59.
