Enhanced expression of BMP6 inhibits hepatic fibrosis in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease

Conclusions Steatosis-induced upregulation of BMP6 in NAFLD is hepatoprotective. Induction of BMP6-signalling may be a promising antifibrogenic strategy.
