Congo-Kinshasa: WHO Declares DR Congo Free of Guinea-worm Disease Transmission

[WHO] The World Health Organization (WHO) is proud to announce that it has certified the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) as free of transmission of Dracunculus medinensis, the parasite that causes dracunculiasis (Guinea-worm disease).
