The UCAT is an aptitude test- as a result of this, they test you on certain skills needed to get into Medicine/Dentistry, but none of the content. The best way to prepare for the UCAT is by knowing all the different question types in the 5 sections and having strategies to answer them in a good amount of time. The BMAT incorporates elements of your GCSE Sciences, as well as asking you to write an essay on the last section. Practising your essay writing skills, as well as slowly revising over your old Science topics, is a good way to prepare for the BMAT. The majority of students start preparing for these tests 1-2 months in advance.
