RSV Vaccine Workshop (Day 1)

The purpose of the workshop is to identify obstacles to RSV vaccine development, discuss approaches to alleviating them, and identify gaps in research that could be addressed to enable vaccine development. The meeting will also review the basic science and clinical data that will inform the regulation of products under development including, for example, immune responses to RSV primary infection and reinfection, and the physiology and kinetics of placental antibody transfer as well as discuss progress towards standardization of immunologic agents and assays. Lessons learned from previous clinical trials of RSV vaccines, and polyclonal and monoclonal antibodies used for immune-prophylaxis will be discussed to identify potential serological and clinical endpoints for upcoming pivotal trials.Air date: 6/1/2015 8:30:00 AM
