Neuroendocrine Tumor of Tailgut Cyst with Unexpected Metastases

AbstractNeuroendocrine tumors (NETs) originate from the neuroendocrine cells, which are found in various organs. NETs occur frequently in the gastrointestinal tract. NETs arising from tailgut cysts are uncommon. We herein report an interesting case of metastatic tailgut cyst NET, which was firstly diagnosed as plasmacytoma.
