Peripheral ameloblastoma: a case report

A 54-year-old woman in good health was examined for a nodule located on the buccal surface of the attached gingiva near the region of teeth 31 and 32, present for 6 months. An excisional biopsy and curettage of the involved bone tissue was performed, and the material obtained was sent to the laboratory for microscopic examination. The diagnosis was peripheral ameloblastoma. Six months after excision of the primary lesion, the patient came to the clinic for a follow-up visit, in which the presence of an increase in volume was found in the same place.
