Standard nursing assessments improve ability to predict survival in cirrhosis patients

(Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center) A new study from the Liver Center at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center suggests that standard assessments that nurses already use to care for patients can be mined for data that significantly improve the ability to predict survival following liver transplantation and may help improve patient outcomes.
