WAMC: 3.7/508, CA resident with good ECs
Thank you for taking the time to read this. I unfortunately got back my MCAT retake score today, and it is the same as the first time (508). More info below. I'm honestly gutted right now and am wondering if I have a chance at MD, or should give up and apply DO. I graduated undergrad in December 2022 and was hoping to apply next month. Dumb question …where on AMCAS does one indicate that this is an Early Decision application?
Dumb question…where on AMCAS does one indicate that this is an Early Decision application?
I have googled and looked on AAMC and both seem to skip over that detail.
I’ve looked over a blank AMCAS and don’t see where to indicate on that either.
I would think that either towards the top of first page of AMCAS or in the area where you list the actual school, there would be a place to indicate that the app is ED (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Struggling with finding shadowing
I’ve been looking for shadowing opportunities for the past year and have had no luck. I’ve cold called/emailed/gone to offices with a cover letter and resume, asked my PCP, and contacted Graduate Medical Education offices as well.
I’ve gotten an opportunity to help a physician with physicals with other pre-health and health students. Would this count as shadowing even though I would be functioning mostly as an MA?
