AbstractWe studied 34 isolates of Tigecycline-Non-SusceptibleA. baumannii (TNAB) obtained from clinical specimens at a large tertiary care hospital in Chongqing, China. These 34 strains belonged to 8 different clones including ST195 (35.3%) and ST208 (17.7%). EBURST analysis found that these 8 ST types belonged to the Clonal Complex 92. Analysis of mild and severe neonatal enterovirus infections in a Chinese neonatal tertiary center: a retrospective case-control study
ConclusionWe found significant differences between mild and severe cases of neonatal enterovirus infection with respect to complications, laboratory findings, and enterovirus serotypes. It is crucial to exercise caution when newborns exhibit symptoms of sepsis, during an enterovirus outbreak. Anemia, thrombocytopenia, abnormal liver function, and coagulation dysfunction should be monitored closely as they could indicate the presence of a severe enteroviral infection. Lincosamide monotherapy treatment of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus pneumonia in tropical Australia: a case series
AbstractExisting recommended first-line antibiotic agents for MRSA pneumonia have several shortcomings. We reviewed 29 cases of community- and hospital-acquired MRSA pneumonia managed at our hospital. Lincosamide monotherapy was administered to 21/29 (72%) and was the predominant antibiotic regimen (>  50% course duration) in 19/29 (66%).
